MT. SAC Cross Counrty Invitational- October 18, 2013

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF OUR CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS WHO RACED AT MT. SAC THIS PAST FRIDAY.  WE HAD MANY INCREDIBLE INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES, AS WELL AS TEAM RESULTS.

OUR 5TH GRADE BOYS CAME IN 9TH PLACE, AND WERE LED BY RICARDO WHO CAME IN 13TH PLACE OUT OF 112 RUNNERS.  HE RECEIVED AN INDIVIDUAL MEDAL FOR HIS PERFORMANCE.

 OUR 5TH GRADE GIRLS WERE PACED BY JALYSSA, BUT RECEIVED NO TEAM SCORE.

THE 4TH GRADE BOYS CAME IN 7TH PLACE AND WERE PACED BY ROBERT, WHO CAME IN 8TH PLACE OUT OF 101 RUNNERS, AND ALSO RECEIVED AN INDIVIDUAL MEDAL.

THE 4TH GRADE GIRLS CAME IN 5TH PLACE, WITH DALIA COMING IN 20TH OUT OF 99 RUNNERS.  SHE WAS ONLY 17 SECONDS OUT OF MEDAL CONTENTION.

THE 3RD GRADE BOYS HAD A GREAT DAY, PLACING 4TH, ONLY 4 POINTS OUT OF 3RD PLACE.  ANGEL MISSED MEDAL CONTENTION BY 2 SECONDS, COMING IN 16TH PLACE, WITH MICHAEL, A 2ND GRADER, 3 SECONDS BEHIND, AND ISRAEL ONLY 10 SECONDS BACK.

THE 3RD GRADE GIRLS, IN THE LAST RACE OF THE DAY, CAME IN 3RD PLACE. THEY EDGED OUT MARIPOSA ELEMENTARY BY 4 POINTS, WITH THE NUMBER 5 RUNNER, RUBY MAKING UP A 2 POINT DEFICIT BY BEATING THEIR NUMBER 5 RUNNER BY 6 PLACES.  THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS WERE AWARDED TEAM MEDALS:

MAGEE’S NUMBER 7 SCORING RUNNER:  JAEDA, A SECOND GRADER!

NUMBER 6:  ALEXA

NUMBER 5:  RUBY

NUMBER 4:  EMILY

NUMBER 3:  STAR

NUMBER 2:  ALINA, WHO WAS TAKEN DOWN AT THE START AND STILL FINISHED IN 27TH.

AND NUMBER 1: ISABELLA

 

I’D LIKE TO SAY GREAT JOB TO ALL OF OUR RUNNERS, AND THANKS TO ALL OF THE MAGEE STAFF WHO CAME TO HELP AND SUPPORT THEM.

WE WILL BE TAKING THE NEXT 2 WEEKS OFF, AND WILL RESUME PRACTICES ON NOV. 5TH.
